This could be a fun...
Liked: The mattress was comfortable, and things LOOKED nice.
Disliked: OK, this may seem nitpicky, but I booked on booking.com, and received a rate of $500+ per night. For that kind of money, I'm expecting a suite, and they very finest of everything. Frankly, the hotel just didn't measure up.1. Upon arrival, no luggage carts, and no bell staff. We took our own luggage to our room.2. No turndown service. In fact, no service at all. Our bed was made once. The bed itself was super comfy, but the duvet was short. Because of the design (a pocket slips under the mattress), it was impossible to pull the covers up far enough to cover my shoulders. More ample bedding would have added to the experience.3. We had to call for towels. The next day, we found new towels draped over a chair in our room. Seriously, nobody could even be bothered to put them in the bathroom?4. The shower was beautiful and spacious, but there was NO water pressure. It was so minimal that showering actually took longer. The water also took forever to warm up.5. The shampoo, conditioner, etc. were attached to the shower wall in squirt bottles, like at a gym. For such an expensive hotel, I expect these items to be in small containers manufactured by an upscale company or spa.6. The glass door to the toilet didn't shut due to poor installation. The door was larger than the opening and kept banging against the wall.7. There was no telephone in the room to call the front desk. I actually used my cellphone to call the front desk when we needed towels, which should never have happened to begin with. We also couldn't leave a wake-up call.8. The view from our room was not thrilling, to say the least. I realize that someone has to see the back of the hotel, but it just seemed like adding insult to injury. Since this is a new hotel, it seems like a pretty major design flaw to have a bad-looking facade in the hotel at all. Having a $500+/night room overlooking a construction site should just never happen.9.
