Great location, disappointing hotel.

Liked: The breakfast was good. A really good range of items to choose from with a great location looking out over the main square.
Disliked: The hotel is just very tired. The room was quite shaby with poor paintwork (cracked sink in the bathroom) and what looked like missing furniture. For quite a high price, we were expecting a lot more especially as it's rates itself 4 stars.

Love in Lille

Liked: Luxurious and comfortable hotel, perfect for a stay in delightful Lille. We were upgraded for our first night to a superb suite with views over the Opera Hall. Lille is very pretty at night. We would recommend highly this lovely hotel. The View Bar makes fantastic cocktails and has fab views over the city.
Disliked: Everything was great

Disliked: When we checked in, an older men at the reception was quite condescending when he noticed we booked via booking.The room was worn, paint cracked, did not feel clean.Toiletries are not at the level expected… shower, shampoo, hand wash all together.We went to the bat, we had to wait over 35 min to finally have our drinks.

Liked: Room was huge, bathroom modern and a view overlooking the square we also went to the bar which had great service.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.

Disliked: Bath did not work in the a suite room unsurprisingly with antiquated tub and shower. hotel offered a downgrade to a bath that did work! Really!!!!

A wonderful treat to break...

Liked: We were very lucky and got upgraded to a Junior Suite through Booking.com! It was elegantly decorated, spacious and spoiling. The gentleman on reception was efficient and charming and we were offered complimentary drinks in the panoramic bar and given a fantastic recommendation for dinner in a local 'Moules' restaurant. Unfortunately, we had to leave very early, but the breakfast looked amazing! Great location, right next to the major central square of the city - filled with beautiful buildings, restaurants and open spaces

Liked: Location was good .
Disliked: Poor customer service at reception and main bar . Poor facilities in room , disappointing drink selection and no instructions for coffee machine .Poor selection of promised products , no shampoo or body lotion .Shower didn’t work properly and towels were of poor quality.The television only had only french speaking channels . Not accommodating english guests .The main bar with view of square not open until 6 . Poor evening service , left waiting and given a scan code to order drinks , there was a barrier at entrance bar and at breakfast , which was not welcoming .
