Friendly helpful staff, good cafe...
Liked: Rooms were clean and nicely furnished
Disliked: The lift was working and evidently hadn’t been for a while , judging by the reviews. The restaurant was on the 7th floor so getting up there via the stairs was a challenge! We hadn’t been warned before we arrived either so it was a good job we didn’t have health issues that would have caused a problem with all the stairs to the rooms.

Comfortable and getting major improvements
Liked: The breakfast buffet was improved since the last time I visited, as well as the rooftop bar and the attention. The hotel is located at a superb distance from all the good things in CDMX. And the staff was super dedicated and kind. I was very happy to see that Central Hotels is giving this hotel I love so much a big makeover. The room felt brand new and modern.
Disliked: Since the building is still under improvements, there were some noise and suspended particles in the front desk area. Not having an elevator to go to the 7th floor (restaurant) was a little exhausting. And the last day of our stay, the hotel ran out of water. The noise form all the bars and restaurants at night is an issue if you want to leave the windows open if you're not using the A/C, but this is a normal thing being so near all the excitement at the 5 de Mayo.

Hotel is under construction and...
Liked: I liked that the location was very centric to everything like food, museums, bars, and shopping.
Disliked: The hotel was under construction which is understandable but there was no access to an elevator. There are 7 floors. Our room was on the fifth floor and the restaurant was on the 7th floor. I went with my 72 year old mom and this was just outrageous! We went to enjoy the 2024 Day of the Dead activities. I booked in March, 2024 and housekeeping mentioned the elevator had been out of service for 4 months. The hotel has everyone's information which gave them time to reach out to people to mention this. I would obviously NOT have stayed here if this was the case as I had an older person with me who struggled with this as well as to the elevation of 7,500 feet in Mexico City. I would have had enough time to book elsewhere. The last day of our stay the water was shut off. The front desk could not inform anyone what time the water was going to be turned back on. I checked out at noon and there was still o water available. It all just left a bad taste in my mouth!

Good value for money if...
Liked: Location is excellent.
Disliked: TOO NOISY. There's a bar at the corner of the hotel - a good sleep was not possible.

Disappointing stay
Liked: Friendly staff. Good breakfast and snacks available throughout day. Central location, good view from balcony
Disliked: Lift was out of order so breakfast and bar on 7th floor was exhausting. Was like a building site. Uneven carpets in hallways were constant trip hazards. Room service was questionable, we had fewer towels and toilet paper every day. Room was incredibly noisy, bar next door played thumping music until 2am every night so sleep was very difficult. Water stopped working on 2 occasions, first time we had 3 workman trampling into our room twice to fix and the second time was just before checkout so we weren't able to flush toilet, use the sink or shower. Not happy with this basic lack of facilities.

look for another option of...
Liked: The dining room area it was beautiful including the beautiful view of the area this change was a great Idea excellent
Disliked: The inconvenience of not being able to available to use the elevator and that you have to leave a deposit of $500.00 pesos in order to get a remote control to use the air conditioner this idea it not make any sense 👎

Noisy. No elevator. Rooms located...
Liked: Excellent location. Only one street next to the walking street. The staff made some good recommendation for restaurants nearby.
Disliked: They gave me a room on 5/F. The room was more well-furnished and slightly bigger than the one they gave me previously on the 6/F. Still very noisy and no elevator. 1/F to 3/F were closed down for renovation with construction workers walking up and down the very narrow stairs with you together throughout the day. The dared not leave my room and went downstairs to the convenience store after I returned to my room. Very small lobby. Toilet for guests was inside a small room where the laundry was done and the where the supporting staff rest and not all reception staff allowed me to use that toilet, meaning that you may not have a toilet to go to after you check out or you have to walk up the stairs to the 6/F to your own room if you want to go to the toilet suddenly. They gave you a breakfast coupon for two restaurants close to the hotel. One of them open quite early. But the food was not very nice. Traditional local food. Acceptable quality.
