Nice place, nice people, breakfast...
Liked: Room was spacious , clean and they followed the law in regards to service animals.
Disliked: No dining option in evening . Had to order delivery and then the “waiter” brought over silverware . Terrible step from sleeping area to bathroom. My partner and I both fell , he hit his head and I practically broke my hand (pic included)

Not a hotel that caters...
Liked: The hotel garden and pool are very beautiful and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was usually very good as well. My room was very large and the bed was super comfy! One attentive staff member was kind enough to go out of his way one day to bring me a lounge chair from storage when he saw that I had nowhere to sit as all the other clients had their towels on all the chairs and tables at the pool.
Disliked: The hotel does NOT cater to foreigners. The waitress would serve the Mexican clients around the pool but never came to ask me (Canadian) if I needed anything. I was ignored; she would walk right by me. If I wanted something, I had to go up to the bar or restaurant every time. The Mexican guests took up all the lounge chairs with their towels, leaving nowhere else for anyone to sit. Sometimes people would have left but the staff never cleaned up the tables or chairs after, so it still looked like they were occupied. Once, I even ended up eating at a table by the pool with all the food and garbage from the previous clients. Even after I sat down and ordered, they still didn't remove the previous dirty plates and garbage, and served me my meal there anyway. The restaurant closes at 4:30pm - right before (western) dinner time. I tried to order glasses of white wine daily, but was always told they didn't have any. A bar without white wine?? One day, after asking for white wine and again being told they had none, I saw a bottle of white wine on display on the main table in the restaurant. I asked the waitress why they couldn't have served me from that and the girl just shrugged and said sorry. Very incomprehensible. Given that I stayed for 6 nights, why someone couldn't have picked up a bottle of white wine 2 blocks away to serve to the "gringo" or served me from the bottle they had - no idea! After 3 days in the hotel I saw a Mexican couple being served nachos. I asked the waitress where the nachos were on the menu, as I had not seen that. She then brought me an alternative cheaper "snacks" menu that had never been given to me in the previous 3 days. The rooms have no air conditioning and the temperature reached 36°C during my stay. The hotel is also located on a very busy, noisy road which diminishes the appeal. The wifi is weak and unreliable. One day, when my room was cleaned, the empty toilet paper was not replenished.

Hotel from hell, don't be...
Liked: The rooms looked fine BUT...
Disliked: Noisy rooms: Unfortunately, having the constant water pump noise every 10 seconds made it impossible to rest in the room. It was like having a drill in the room. I asked to have it disconnected and I was told they would stop it by 6pm, but once they left it on overnight, the other times I had to remind them to switch it off and their attitude was of annoyance. Pool area: The pool area is covered by flowers attracting bees which led to me being stung by it, these flowers falling from a tree next to the pool are only swiped once a day in the morning, and by the afternoon the pool area is covered in bees. Contaminated pool: My son was playing in the pool and accidentally swallowed some water which was contaminated because minutes later he fell ill with high temperature, throat infection, headache and stiff neck, he was prescribed antibiotics to fight the infection. Wifi: NONE of the three wifi connexions I was given worked in any of the 4 rooms we used. The only place with good connexion was a small area in the dinning room.Room service: we had to request shower gel and toilet paper in one of the rooms.Payment: we were asked to pay when we checked in, which makes me think, with all the bad service they provide, they cannot risk people not paying the bill in full.Shocking service and attitude for them to believe they didn't owe me a refund of some sort. It will be very difficult for me to trust the positive reviews shown on this platform. Never again.
