Do not book if there...

Liked: Good location near small supermarket, restaurants and tram it centre.
Disliked: Appalling check-in and support. We were flying international and them driving to Cologne. Reception closes at 18:00 with no after hours back-up. We should have arrived at the hotel well before 18:00. However due to a big delay collecting the rental car and massive delays due to extensive road works we arrived after 18:00. Even though we had booked nine months prior the hotel waited until the afternoon of arrival to supply the after hours access arrangements. However being foreigners and with no internet access while in-transit we did not get the information. We tried to phone the hotel number and left a message. After 45 minutes waiting in the dark we called Booking.com who gave us the after hours access procedure. Irresponsible not to give us this after hours check-in information weeks before our arrival.

Liked: Location good. A bit far from city centre. A traditional bakers shop opposite the hotel allows for a hearty breakfast. No need to have it in the hotel
Disliked: Parking possibilities bad.

Passable

Liked: The breakfast was overpriced and no variety it was just meat cheese and bread no hot food the hotel staff were amazing though very friendly and helpful cannot fault them just need some more amenities in room.
Disliked: It wasn’t in great area no fridge in room so could not buy food and storeIt wasn’t in great area not many restaurants to eat at was afraid to go out alone at night. No fridge no tea coffee facilities
