A convenient location to stay...

Liked: Conveniently located near the central station, the room had a bath and was quite spacious.
Disliked: The room was a bit dark, and the amenities were a bit worn out.

Liked: Staff was friendly
Disliked: The smell was horrific! I don't know what cleaning products they use but they were awful. The whole room smelled like food in the morning, even though we lived on the top floor, furthest away from the restaurant. The room was poorly cleaned when we arrived, the toilet seat was loose, the bathroom door could not be closed, and there was zero noise-canceling in the walls. Unfortunately, due to the lightning, the color of the room (red), and the nasty wall-to-wall carpet, it felt like a brothel.

Liked: room: separate toilet, furniture modern, very clean. Superb location for town and sightseeing. Parking very easy in underground car park and reception lady most helpful.
Disliked: not the hotels' fault, but stayed Saturday night and bar opposite quite noisy. It was ok after closing the window as we were tired enough, but just in case you are a light sleeper.

OK for a stopover

Liked: In general, this hotel is OK for a stopover night on the way to/back from the Alps. It is very well located, right in the city centre, good to go around and explore a bit, there are plenty of restaurants around; there is a public car park nearby with a slightly reduced rate by paying directly at the hotel (€13 instead of €17 for a night). The staff treated us well and were helpful. Breakfast is OK but not great.
Disliked: The hotel is dated in general, a few lights didn't work, very small bathroom and an old carpet (gives an impression of not being too clean). Was expecting a slightly better place for a 3 star in France (perhaps it is because this was in the centre of a city).
