Great location, old charm, quiet...

Liked: Location was excellent. Was concerned it could be noisy but it was very quiet and spacious.

Wouldn't recommend.

Disliked: The bathroom drain was really smelly, couldn't be in there for too long and smell didn't go away. No window in our room so no way for ventilation or fresh air or natural light. We were not aware that this would be the case when we booked. We were told on day one that we would be able to leave our bags at the hotel for a few hours after checking out, and then the morning of check out were told that that wasn't possible. We then had to walk our suitcases down the road and pay to leave them at a backpackers. There was no apology or acknowledgement that we had been misinformed. We were told nothing could be done about the drain and that there was no room we could move to. The service from the receptionists themselves was fine, but how they were able to help us (I assume because of management) was really disappointing.

Exceptional

Liked: The building is beautiful and the views were spectacular.Staff at the front desk were exceptional, they were friendly , helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable The food was delicious You couldn't ask for a better location

Poor

Liked: Close to beach
Disliked: 2 nights of no sleep. Paid for 3 nights. Left after 2 nights due to crazy noise at night. Burnouts and drunk idiots until 3am both mornongs. Should have known, when the hotel supplies ear plugs... woops! Eat plugs did not help with noise.

Not worth it

Disliked: Noisy at night. The noise and music from the bar can be heard through the provided ear plugs. Couldn’t sleep.

Sensational location, great accommodation.

Liked: Awesome location, friendly Team and public transport convenience.
Disliked: It was noisy till the wee hours but that was expected considering Bondi is party central.

Overall - very good.

Liked: Everything went well. Staff were friendly and helpful; facilities were very clean and comfortable. Loved the location and the ambiance of the place. The food was good and prices reasonable.
Disliked: The room was noisy. Though the hotel supplied ear plugs, there was still a lot of noise from traffic and the hotel downstairs. If I stayed here again II would ask for a room on a higher floor. In particular there was a banging (like a door banging in the wind) throughout the night.

Great location, comfortable stay if...

Liked: Excellent location, close to everything you need including Woolies Metro and the beach over the road.Bed was comfy, sofa bed not so much for an adult (the children seemed to be fine)Staff were helpful and friendly and each day we were asked if we required housekeeping or anything at all which was great.Shower was huge, nice hot water and fluffy towels.Also had a toaster, large fridge and microwave so good for self-catering if needed.
Disliked: Pretty noisy at night/early morning, but to be expected really since you are staying above and across the road from two pubs and it was a Friday/Saturday night. Good spot as far as convenience goes for food/transport etc. but not great if staying with young children (obviously not well thought out on my behalf). I did expect that it wouldn't be as noisy as it was, but you are provided with complimentary ear plugs so guess that was a good clue of what was to come.
