Lovely hotel, but would not...

Liked: The room was nice and comfortable, the pool was amazing and very good to swim. All facilities were in top condition. There was a mix-up with our room, but everyone helped get us the right room.
Disliked: There is a mandatory 250 CAN deposit which I don't remember in recent years to ever have to pay in any hotel. After leaving the hotel I had payed the Hotel 3 times. Firstly, the total amount from the stay was deducted from my main credit card 3 or 4 days before the check in. At check in I had to deposit 250 can. Since I used a different credit card for the deposit, the following day I has an extra charge on the second credit card for the remainder of the stay. After beeing taken double the amount of the stay I was required to pay at check out because all values were pre authorized only. In sum, the hotel charged me triple the amount and then took more than 10 days to credit the extra value. This was the worst experience I had with an hotel in years.

Liked: Hotel is always great. Love the architecture and the facilities. Breakfast is yummy
Disliked: There was a staff strike when we stayed meaning restaurants and some facilities not available. Pool and breakfast buffet were tho. There was no prior communication on this from the hotel or booking.com

Great stay in Montreal

Liked: Great location - easy walk to downtown and to old port area. Right across road from main train station. Large hotel, spacious, clean, friendly.
Disliked: No lift from reception to our room on 3rd floor and we had heavy cases. Limited snack options.Lift (elevator) from lobby up to reception (10 floors).

Convenient and relaxing.

Liked: Rooms, lobby, and accessibility to the pool.
Disliked: Variety of food for breakfast.Quality of food in the restaurant.
