In the middle of things...

Disliked: Rooms are a bit small and on the expensive side. The cleaner’s note about leaving a tip. Does she not get paid for doing her duties!!!

It was a pleasant stay...
Liked: The location was excellent and the room was spacious.
Disliked: It was a bit outdated, in my opinion, particularly given the high price of this room. Also, there was no refrigerator in the room.

Superb
Liked: This is a second time I stay in this hotel. It offers a great combination of really central, but quiet location comfortable well-equipped room and delicious breakfast. Great value for Munich.

A nice hotel in the...
Liked: Location was perfect, check in was easy and the rooms were small but very comfortable with excellent beds and a nice selection of pillows. Free bottle of mineral water in the room, and the hotel has a nice place to sit outside and have a beer. So many restaurant and food choices literally steps from the front door that you will never go hungry or wish you had more things to pick from! Hotel was clean and had nice big windows that looked over a courtyard. With the windows closed the room was very quiet and we slept well.
Disliked: While the breakfast was very much a traditional European spread that we've come to expect, we also appreciate when they add scrambled eggs and some bacon to the lineup. They did feature a large selection of cold salads (potato, herring, and some others I didn't recognize) and a lot of cereals and muesli which was nice, but the weisswurst and hot dogs floating in warm water didn't look super fresh and we ended up supplementing our breakfast with food from the Viktualienmarkt. All hotels in Munich charge more during Oktoberfest, but we felt the price was very high for a one night stay and they definitely take advantage of maximizing rates during the fest.
