Liked: Great place to stay and in easy walk of shops and restaurants and Brandenburg Gate about half an hour easy walking along the beautiful Tiergarten. Fabulous modern interior design and everything you could wish for in the buffet breakfast
Disliked: Lighting in the bar area and in our room was very low, we would have loved a bright lamp to switch on when needed.

Liked: The Staff were fantastic. Every question and request was met with courtesy and understanding. Although the response sometimes took longer than expected - four days before the bed-side lamp was fixed. I asked for porridge for breakfast which was always provided. I have no idea what is meant by 'Layer' in the review list.
Disliked: Nothing can be done about the location which was easy to get to by public transport but it was very noisy and the smell was terrible - the smell of sewage outside was not too great. We were on the sixth floor but could hear the constant noise of the traffic and the frequent noise of sirens from the police and emergency services. I also didn't like the room's lighting - dreadful and the film over the windows meant that the room was very dark. My advice would be don't 'upgrade' it's a complete waste of money.
