Situated in a peaceful side street just a 3 minute walk from the train station this charming privately run 3-star hotel offers cozy accommodations in the heart of Freiburg. Hotel Barbara is a short walk from all of Freiburg's main historic and cultural attractions such as the cathedral university theater and concert house shops and restaurants. Built in 1911 all rooms in Hotel Barbara have recently been renovated and feature a private bathroom cable TV telephone minibar and free Wi-Fi internet access. Most of the rooms also offer a balcony. Superb

Liked: Great location, very quiet and clean rooms.
Disliked: The room was a little small, not a lot of storing facilities.

Fantastic hotel

Liked: Lovely staff, beautiful old building , very convenient to the old city and to the station, comfortable bed, lots of space in the room
Disliked: The stairs were noisy late at night, so a room away from the stairs would be better, otherwise a wonderful place.

Very good

Liked: Location, clean, good value for money. You can get free tea and coffee downstairs which is not available in most hotels in the area.
Disliked: It doesn't have a lift, we didn't mind as our luggage was light. Staff was willing to help to get it upstairs.

Liked: Close to the main train station. Great for a quick overnight stay. The staff stayed late to accommodate an after hours check in to ensure I was comfortable.
