Exceptional

Liked: Great location near metro station and Diagonal Avenue. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room is nice and super clean. Deluxe hotel for a very reasonable price. I will come back on my next trip to Barcelona!
Disliked: Nothing.

Good location but price:value ratio...

Liked: The location is surely the main strength of the hotel. The room was silent and well equipped (steam iron, safe and toothbrush).
Disliked: Considering the price (I paid 155e), I think it was not up to my expectations. Probably the price is driven by the location, being fairly central. I think the breakfast was good but limited in terms of variety- for the same price (20e) you get a full lunch from nearby café.The shower is "inside" the bath tub (where, btw, I would never bath) and it was not quick to adjust the the right water temperature.

Liked: - the location of the hotel
Disliked: - I found 2 bugs in my room, 1 near the bed and another one in the bathroom... I went to the reception and they gave me another room and a plate of fruits for this... After a few hours they gave that room to another person without insect pest control....

The hotel was clean and...

Liked: The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom and excellent facilities that added to the comfort of my stay. Its location is another highlight—conveniently situated and perfect for exploring the city. Overall, a wonderful choice for a comfortable and well-located stay in Barcelona!
Disliked: The only small downside was that our room was on the first floor, so we couldn’t enjoy the views from the room. However, this didn’t take away from the overall quality of the stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Barcelona!

Nice hotel with good breakfast...

Liked: The hotel is located in a very pleasant uptown area surrounded by shops, not far from the Gaudi's Casa Mila and Casa Batlo. Placa de Catalunya will be 30 min walk or 2 stops by metro. The breakfast is quite rich with vegetable and fruits, as well as some national dishes. The rooms are properly equipped. The reception personnel was amazing.
Disliked: The sound of the metro could be disturbing, but as I sleep in the earplugs, for me it was not an issue. My colleagues did complain about the noise both from the metro and from the busy street. The pillows could be more comfortable.

Great Hotel for Our Family...

Liked: Hotel BalmoralDecember 23-29, 2024We CANNOT say enough about Hotel Balmoral, Barcelona! Our family of 11 spent our Christmas 2024 holiday in this beautiful city and our hotel was in the middle of everything! We were welcomed into this 4-star gem by a lovely aroma that was present each time we entered and exited. The staff, particularly Antonio, Marcus and Manuel, were very pleasant and accommodating. They allowed us to store our luggage until check-in time, provided directions, secured taxis and recommended restaurants. The hotel was clean, quiet and spacious enough for our belongings. There was a store right next door where we could grab quick items such as water and snacks. The bar staff was friendly and the dining room meals were really good!Hotel Balmoral was very cost comparable or better based on US standard. They assured that our five guests rooms were together in one wing, making it easy to traverse between rooms and ensuring safety within our group.The indoor and outdoor holiday decor were a constant and welcoming reminder of the holiday season.The hotel room key card provided specific and helpful guest information. This was useful to us as we adjusted our itinerary throughout the week.On our next trip to Barcelona, we are planning to stay at Hotel Balmoral and will recommend it to anyone heading that way!
