Liked: Location was decent
Disliked: Plenty of steps to climb, no lift available. The toilet was not fully functional. The television never worked. The neighboring room was having a huge fight right throughout the night and it kept everyone awake and it was very disturbing

Liked: Clean and had good facilities in the room. Nice staff and easy to access for central London.
Disliked: So hot in the room as it was hard to turn the heating off. Beds quite hard and not that comfortable.

Exceptional

Liked: The exceptional customer service at this hotel impressed me. They were always friendly and asked how my stay was going every time i walked in the door.

Disappointing

Liked: The location was second to none for the Eventim Apollo. It was very convenient. The staff at reception were very friendly.There was a hairdryer
Disliked: The cleanliness and hygiene let the room down. As soon as you opened the room door it smelt of poo- as if someone had just done a poo in the toilet. Therefore we gave it the benefit of the doubt that this smell will go away (We are all human after all) However this smell stayed for the entire time we were there. Behind the toilet was alot of staining on the floor and pipework. We didn't get too close but this could be what the smell was coming from. The curtain and colourful pillows all had suspicious stains on that looked like a different type of bodily fluid. There was a sex toy someone had put outside the window onto the sill. I imagine the activities surrounding this is what made the stains. We lifted up the cups to use and they were sitting in a tray that was filthy, including crumbs, dust, hairs, and staining- Therefore we did not use them. The cups themselves were dirty inside, despite being rim down to the tray as if to indicate they were fresh and clean.The bed sheets and towels appeared ok. There was an ironing board provided, but no iron. Like alot of hotels, the photos are very generous in their appearance/Catfish vibes. The bathroom wasn't horrendous, but wasn't clean either. The shower had heavy grime build up, especially on the grouting and around the plug, as well as the sink. The towel holder was noticeablely dusty.People may ask why we didn't highlight the problems when we noticed them, however we were there for one night, and it shouldn't be our responsibility to inspect a room and complain about it, it should be left in a hygienic state before being given to us. Mainly we felt we'd then get moved to another room which is likely to be similar considering how many issues there were. Therefore not only would that have been time consuming, it would have felt pointless. In hindsight, pay the extra £30-£40 a night to stay in a better hotel. It would have been so worth it.

Liked: Location was alright
Disliked: Staff was rude when I arrived, there was no breakfast had to find a cafe. I think a lift is required as had to carry heavy cases up 3 flights of steps.

Ok

Liked: Room was average but what we expected for the money
Disliked: Room was dusty. Curtains had loads of white dust on the top. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Also there was visible dust on the wallpaper above the bed and headboard.
