I would return to Atypiq...

Liked: Perfect location and value for what we needed. The hotel is nestled in Old Quebec and offers all the essentials to frugal travellers. The facilities are clean, checkin is easy, and the rooftop patio is enjoyable. The rooms are quiet and dark.
Disliked: The tight space in the room is an adjustment, especially for two travellers, but it is offset in the cost of the room.

Great Hotel in a great...

Liked: This hotel is in an excellent location, offering both convenience and comfort. The room may be small, but it’s designed for efficiency, with a bed that lifts up to the ceiling to create space for a retractable table. The kitchen is open 24 hours, and breakfast is available at any time. Guests also have access to the kitchen for cooking their own meals. Situated within the fort, the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
Disliked: Parking was expensive. 25 USD/day.

Ok if you value location

Liked: Location is great. Very quiet and good for sleeping.
Disliked: he carpet of the room needs an urgent cleaning. Breakfast although you have to make it by your own, is coffee, orange juice, eggs, bread and apples. Nothing else.

Dinky room in a great...

Liked: The location is great because it is in the heart of the "inside the wall" and near restaurants and bars. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room and the hotel were spotless. The coffee maker in the kitchen room was incredible.
Disliked: The room is so small that it makes things very awkward and uncomfortable. There is literally no room on the side of the bed, so one must scootch to the end of the bed to get out of the bed. The sheets for the bed didn't really fit the bed; instead, it was tucked under the mattress topper. Getting a decent night's sleep was challenging because the sheet came loose anytime I moved. I was there with others, and their rooms also had a very tiny space. But strangely, one room had a clear glass shower door, which offered nothing to the imagination for the person not showering. These rooms are sold as doubles, but sharing a room with someone was so awkward because there was no room for both people to have their suitcases out while still having space to move to walk to the sink or bathroom. The toilet seat in the room I was staying in was broken on one side so it slid away is you attempted to slide onto it. The rooms were so awkward that the group I traveled with consistently sat in the breakfast room since the rooms were not inviting. The breakfast was nice, except a family staying at the hotel would take all the hot breakfast food to their table for their group. The pictures on the website seemed a bit deceptive because they made it seem like a more normal-sized room, allowing a person to get out on the side of the bed (even though they mention the rooms are small). As noted on the website, the bed is on a suspension system so it can be raised to the ceiling. The furniture in the room is on the cheap, uncomfortable side - a chair for one and a storage unit with a pad on top to sit on.

Like a wet firecracker

Liked: Kitchen open 24h. Location is great.
Disliked: This place is essentially unattended, and so details matter even more. I could not get to work the TV in the room at 8 pm. But no one could help me. The bed is too high, you almost need to climb on it. Also, it doesn't sit properly on the floor. As a result it makes noise when you move. The room is also full of little noise. Someone use the toilet or shower upstairs you hear the water flowing in the pipes. Its like this place was not constructed correctly. In the kitchen, there is 2 sinks, but only one soap bottle to clean the dishes, so you have to run to the other sink to clean your dishes. Sugar for coffee stayed empty for a long time. There is only one kind of sugar - the bad one. There is a real lack of choices when it comes to the self-serve kitchen. Overall great potential hotel - but it doesn't meet expectations even 30% of it.
