Great hotel, not so good...

Liked: This is a wonderful hotel in not so great area. The room was clean, spacious and updated.Good breakfast included. Just wish the restaurant was open every day (closed Monday & Tuesday). I highly recommend this place.

Liked: Pretty property with a cool theme throughout. There aren’t many places that could make coal mining seem beautiful. Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.

Excellent stay, reasonably priced with...

Liked: The property is very clean, extremely well appointed and exceptionally comfortable. It was once a theatre - way back when - and today as a Select Registry property, more than exceeds the expectations of that designation. We loved the pictures enlarged by the historical society depicting the coal mining era of the town. Dinner and breakfast were great. It has a large outdoor seating area perfect for business gatherings and a banquet hall that seats over 400. The lobby features three large pieces of the coal mined in the area. After a long drive and a cold day, the lit fireplace was very welcoming. Q
Disliked: Everything was perfect. A welcomed find on our travels.

Liked: Everything was fine. Until check in. When I was told that they needed my card for what amounts to a security deposit that would be returned at checkout. $91. And I have only received just over $8 of the $91 they took from my account for the deposit.
