Beautiful hotel with rich history

Liked: The hotel is beautiful and rich in history. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everyone had a smile on their face. The restaurant was wonderful!!
Disliked: Hard to figure out where the front of the building was in order to valet park. However, the gentlemen were amazing and very helpful. David was a favorite!!

Well preserved 1939 hotel!

Liked: It’s a beautiful well maintained hotel! The rooms are lovely. All of the staff from the valet to the front desk to the bartenders were kind and welcoming!
Disliked: Our bed seemed to slant on one side.

Lacking

Liked: The bed was comfortable. The rooms were upgraded.
Disliked: This was one of the most beautiful hotels in the country and the renovations to neutral colors are very disappointing. The rest of the WORLD is in beige and sad hues of ivory. The front desk clerk- super catty. Charged us for our deposit twice even as we assured him that it had gone through the first time. We travelled across the country to come here and arghhhh it was terrible.

Liked: The building has some history for sure. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have robes. We had a view of the city. Breakfast was nice.
Disliked: Coffee sucked both in the room and at breakfast. The rooms were too small. No real accommodation for dogs. If you are paying 75$ per pet, you are expecting to have dog friendly areas. They tell you to walk your dog across the street where the sign clearly says "no dogs". The hotel is located in the middle of the stone jungle. There is NOTHING around. Unless you are there for an event in the convention center, do not expect to any NM flavor.
