Overall a pleasant stay
Liked: Breakfast was great. Room was clean and up to date

Lovely stay in a beautiful...
Liked: The room was very good. The breakfast was excellent. The location of the hotel was superb! The staff were generally very welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: We were woken up at 7.00am each morning by builders making a lot of noise working on scaffolding directly outside our window on the first floor. I complained at the time and I thought we should have been offered an alternative room or some compensation. The staff knew that that builders were around but didn't mention it. All we were offered was a biscuit! Bit insulting really.

Liked: Very comfortasble and well located hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The adjacent restaurant served good food.
Disliked: There were building works on the roof during our stay. The external builders lift was extremely noisy and the builders started work at 6:30am. I complained to the staff as this rather spoilt our stay. The did however, give us a 60 Euro discount.

The worst hotel I have...
Liked: If u want to wake up at 8 am because of noise and spend your night in cold because they dont have heaters , chose this hotel !
Disliked: I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at Hotel De Roode Leeuw. As a seasoned traveler who has experienced various hotels around the world, I chose your establishment, expecting a relaxing and high-quality experience from a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory and left me feeling mistreated.Upon my arrival, I was assigned a room with no heating, which made my first night very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, construction work within the hotel started at 8 a.m., disrupting my rest during my entire stay.However, the worst part of my experience was on the day of my check-out. At noon, I politely asked the front desk if I could store my luggage for an hour so that I could enjoy breakfast in the city before my afternoon flight. Shockingly, the receptionist not only refused my request but spoke to me with a condescending tone, instructing me to “GO OUT” in an unprofessional and hostile manner. She even went as far as to kick our luggage, making us feel humiliated, as if we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests.This behavior was completely unacceptable and felt discriminatory. In all my years of traveling, I have never been treated with such disrespect and hostility by hotel staff.I feel compelled to share this experience on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and Google, so other potential guests are aware of the level of service and respect they can expect at your hotel.
