Zurich in Kassel

Liked: The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was comfy and cozy. We were right next to the park, so it was a short walk to see everything. Breakfast was awesome!

Deceiving description on Booking!

Liked: Only that was close to the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. But you could actually just stay in Kassel and drive there or take public transportation.
Disliked: False advertising!! No sauna, cafe or restaurant!!! The rooms are fine and clean but there’s absolutely no ambiance in the hotel. The hotel was dead, like in the movie the shinning… dead. They advertise a sauna and restaurant and everything is closed. The reception is closed even before the check in time! And again they advertise a sauna and restaurant and it’s closed. If it’s a seasonal thing they should warn you when you book!! As an alternative they offer to use the facilities at another hotel that’s 10 minutes by car!!! There are very few other options to eat around, I mean only two. One closes before 8pm and the other one only serves with reservations. So bring your own food and forget about relaxing. Fortunately it was a one night stay.

Good value and a lovely...

Liked: Great location, quiet and close to the Herkules and only 15 minutes from the city centre.
Disliked: If you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs ask for a room on the ground floor just an fyi.

Great halfway stop.

Liked: Staff very help, breakfast very nice. Room cleaned to a high standard. Would stay again if in the area.
Disliked: Bed too soft.
