Liked: The owner went out of her way to help us with the Metro situation. She greeted my children with treats every day. She also gave us a room with the most gorgeous view of the local arch. The location of the hotel for the price and this hospitality cannot be beat.

I would definitely stay again...

Liked: The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room (quadruple) was spacious and had lots of room to move. The beds were decorated beautifully and the sheets had a lovely washing powder smell. The room was very clean and had everything that we needed. The location is fantastic! There are several metro lines accessible from the station (Strasbourg St-Denis) within 50 metres from the hotel. The restaurant right next door (L’Amour Vache) serves delicious food and Sebastian, the host, is quite the character!We stayed mid-week and did not find the street noise disturbing at night. Being on a main road, you do have ambulances etc that go wizzing past but the windows did a good job of dampening the sound.
Disliked: Not so much didn’t like but more to be aware: there is no lift and the stairs are narrow and steep. The floor in the corridors is uneven and covered in a plastic/ rubber floor covering. It is not a hotel for someone with any form of mobility issues. Of the three beds (2 single and a double) two were very soft- only one of the singles was firm. We pushed the double and the good single together to make one big bed. The shower is tiny and a little bit of a challenge to get into but the water was hot and plentiful.

Liked: At the very heart of Paris. Very very very great value for money !!!!
Disliked: Just basic fourniture, and that's OK. I don't need more. Just few hours of sleep.
