Superb location but only recommended...

Liked: The hit of the property is the location, almost inside the old town of Santiago; it is possible to do all the main tourist visits just by walking. The hotel does not have good facilities, but if you are a solo or young couple traveller and just need a place to rest and take a shower, it can fit. I do not recommend it for families with children.
Disliked: The breakfast area, which is a big and nice area, is closed most of the time. They only open for breakfast and keep it locked after. Also, for those who need to work, check e-mails or to sit and read a book, the area fits perfectly, but the hotel keeps it closed. The hotel's room does not have an electric kettle or microwave, so if you need to drink a cup of tea or coffee, you need to go outside. The TV has no access to the internet, and the channel list is limited, if you are travelling with kids, this is a problem. Also, the internet signal is weak, especially on the 2nd floor.

Liked: Loved the quiet location and proximity to the cathedral. Breakfast was plentiful. Lovely outdoor garden. Comfortable beds and powerful hot shower.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about.

After 7 nights I had...

Liked: For the price there’s not much to like about this place!
Disliked: No fridge; no glasses (just paper cups); no shampoos or conditioners; no soap; no bottled water; no balcony; safe was non operational and irreparable! Buffet breakfast was very ordinary and basic to say the least-similar to an albergue!

Pleasant stay.

Liked: Room was spacious and bed comfortable. It was spotlessly clean. Despite being behind the reception desk, it was a very quiet room. The hotel itself is a very nice old building with lots of character.
Disliked: Breakfast is very poor indeed. We could have bought a better breakfast outside for the same money. The room was extremely hot and we couldn't get the air conditioner to work properly. There are no staff around after 11pm so we were stuck with it!
