Liked: Good breakfast buffet, very helpful staff. Good location next to a metro station, from where you can travel to the city center or the airport in relatively short time.

clean hotel - not child...

Liked: hotel was clean, good central location near the underground and walkable to Lisbon zoo and central amenities
Disliked: the staff and pretentious attitude. we arrived as a family of four after a long day of travel. we hadn't realised this was more of a business type hotel but nevertheless the hotel said it welcomed children. throughout our short stay here my children felt uncomfortable and as though they were being judged for being children. the hotel seemed more interested in preserving an image of being ultra professional and rigid as opposed to welcoming children. the security guard bounded through the doors when we checked in as my six year old, tired and hyperactive child was, god forbid, walking round the revolving door for a few seconds. from this point on, there were incredible and quite inappropriate remarks about our parenting and children's 'behaviour' (walking round the revolving door and jumping over a knee high foot stool was literally all they did during check in and they were too scared to have any fun after that). the hotel was fine in terms of cleanliness, location etc. but this is not for families and should be advertised as such. at check out we even received further incredibly patronising comments about our children's behaviour and our parenting by a young man who'd never even met us before (it was apparently discussed in advance of his shift by his colleagues). absolutely ludicrous behaviour from the staff and I think the last member of staff realised how ridiculous he'd come across and, to his credit, he apologised. I have escalated this through several channels without response and I have held off writing this review however after two months of no response, it's safe to say the hotel is avoiding this discussion. the attitude of the hotel staff completely impacted our stay and we avoided being in the hotel where possible. our children still comment on the hotel where they were 'not welcome' so now we let them walk through doors and jump over small stools in the safety of their own home!
