Very good option for families
Liked: Great Location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. We have been choosing AC Hotel for our last 3 visits to Montreal, mostly because the rooms are huge, clean and are carpet free. The hotel is around the corner from the government building and you can park your car there for a convenient fee. You have plenty of restaurant walking distance from the hotel. Location is great.
Disliked: Pool was a bit cold, also to be honest the people stay in the jacuzzi forever so it gets too crowded and unpleasant, but thats not the hotel fault, it is the guest’s common sense, same with the sauna. Otherwise the Hotel is great.

Unreliable customer service, lacking cleanliness,...
Liked: The hotel was very centrally located. It was great that many places we wanted to visit were within walking distance.
Disliked: Despite high expectations (as Marriott Hotel regulars), the overall experience at this location was quite disappointing. To start off, the open concept of the bathroom was unusual, but not the biggest concern we had. Upon settling in, we noticed the bathroom flush was not functional. We kindly requested that maintenance staff resolve this issue & were reassured that it'll be looked into while we attended to our reservations around the city. Many hours later, we discovered the issue was not resolved & immediately requested assistance. Michael (one of their staff members) attempted to dump buckets of hot water inside of the toilet, hoping to unclog it (despite it obviously being due to low water pressure). Michael advised that we take a video to show the front desk & request to be moved to another room. He reassured us that he will be conveying that the toilet was not functional to the manager on site. Shortly after, we spoke to the manager at the front desk who completely dismissed our claims of the non-functional toilet, & told us that Michael said the toilet WAS flushing but very slowly, which is not true at all or what he told us. UNDERSTANDABLY, we presumed we would be transferred to a room with a functioning toilet, as this would become a health concern & a human rights violation. Instead, we were rudely dismissed & told they cannot transfer our room because the hotel was at full capacity. When we presented video evidence of the broken toilet, the manager completely changed his statement & reluctantly offered us a different room (which was perplexing because he was insistent there was no capacity a moment prior). Although the toilet was functional in the new room, the mirror was damaged & the bed had stains & many hairs all over (see images). Ultimately, we are very disappointed with how the situation was handled.
