Nicely decorated and very close to pretty much everything in the show quarter.

Liked: Very quaint; room was very nice and included kitchen.
Disliked: Breakfast was not included as it said it was.

Seedy flophouse

Liked: It's in a good location and is only sixty bucks a night.
Disliked: It's a seedy flophouse.

Don't book.

Liked: location
Disliked: The entire place was an absolute disaster. Everything about it was awful. The room was disgustingly dirty — like no one had cleaned it in weeks. I would never, ever recommend staying at that hotel — not even for one night, even if they paid me to stay there. It was a nightmare from start to finish. The place was filthy, the staff were rude and completely unhelpful, and the whole place felt unsafe. I honestly wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone. If you value your health, your sleep, and your sanity, avoid this place at all costs.

Very poor

Liked: The smell of cigarette in our room was absolutely awful. All of our clothes and belongings smelled when we left even we stayed only for 1 night (3 am to 11 am). People were screaming at each other in the hall way and were banging on doors all night.

This is where you immerse...

Liked: The ad didn’t tell us that the location was directly above a sex shop or that it is in the heart of the traditional red light district.Once the ‘oh no, what did I do’ wore down we realized that everything was actually very normal here outside of the one minor detail, and it was pretty easy to remember why we picked the hotel in the first place. This is a great location as your hub for exploring all of the best parts of Montreal. The bed might be a bit stiff, the plugs don’t all work, but the building is safe and secure, they feed you breakfast and you’re in the heart of the city. There is so much art, history and amazing food packed into this exact area to get out and marvel at. There are endless coffee shop options, an outdoor skating rink right outside(weather permitting) underground mall is a block away, Chinatown and old mtl are a 5-10 minute walk, and public transport is super easy to navigate. So get out there and feel life.

Poor

Liked: Excellent location, the very center of Montreal, we were looking for an overnight stay, there can be no expectations for a 2-star hotel.
Disliked: The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in, although I'm a traveler with experience, and I've stayed from hostels and 5-star hotels, it stinks of urine right at the entrance, it's very dirty on the first staircase and no one cleans, garbage was floating around the hallway on our floor, and there was no paper in the toilet, while having breakfast on the kitchen table with A cockroach was running around with bread. When you book two stars, you understand what awaits you, but it's not two stars, it's like we're in a third world country in the middle of Montreal. And I don't recommend it to people with luggage at all.
