Mostly very good.

Liked: Our Dreamer double room was located behind the main part of the hotel and was quiet and comfortable, with a good bathroom. Reception staff and housekeeping were very good. The gift of chocolates each evening was a nice treat. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Valencia.The Dutch barman was excellent.
Disliked: We had breakfast each morning and whilst the staff were very pleasant and willing, they often forgot things. The system of ordering and receiving hot drinks needs improvement as it's very haphazard. On two mornings there was no orange juice - in Valencia!! We often had to ask for things to be restocked.We ate dinner once in the restaurant. Again the staff were pleasant but brought the wrong starter (which we accepted to avoid waste) and we're not as competent as I would expect from this restaurant's reputation. Our room was in the terrace area behind the main building and you had to go outside to reach it. There wasn't much natural light.

A deeply disappointing stay that...

Disliked: Disappointing Stay - Not Worth 5 StarsI recently stayed at Hospes Palau de La Mar in Valencia, expecting a premium experience for the 400 EUR per night we paid. Unfortunately, it fell far below expectations.The dinner we ordered from the hotel was spoiled, posing a serious health risk. When we raised this issue with the hotel's CEO, they dismissed our concerns entirely, which was shocking. The staff was unprofessional and unfriendly, making the experience even worse.To make matters worse, our room was not properly cleaned, and the toilet was broken, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. For a 5-star establishment, the service, cleanliness, and overall experience were severely lacking.I cannot recommend this hotel and strongly advise others to reconsider their stay here.

We won’t stay there again....

Liked: Location ok. Breakfast was ok but the staff didn’t offer any service! I think most of the staff needed to be trained more on customer service! And hospitality they tried hard but not professional enough in representing a 5 star hotel .
Disliked: Things kept breaking down in the room… cupboards broken and dirty. Safe kept breaking down staff in the dining room didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Service average not good value for money
