Liked: The rooms are large and make you feel like you're living a bit of San Diego history. The bar is fantastic and sitting in the courtyard is a lovely relaxing experience.
Disliked: I had to constantly re-log into the wifi.

Exceptional

Liked: Great location in gaslamp quarters. Enjoyed the fireplace and quaint balcony overlooking the courtyard. Would highly recommend and definitely staying there again. Staff was very friendly and the afternoon security guard was very helpful and informative of the hotel history!

Average stay in a so-so...

Disliked: Pillows were awful. Did not know they would charge $59 to park car.

A charmingly comfortable hotel with...

Liked: The hotel was a very short walk to the centre of the gas lamp district, to seaport village and the ferry to Coronado Island. We were minutes away from Petco stadium and little Italy’s Saturday market. A perfect location if you enjoy walking. We used ride share to and from the airport, to and from Pachenga arena, and to and from La Jolla. All easy to arrange and fair rates!
Disliked: A hotel shuttle service/airport transfer but really not a deal breaker as ride share/Uber was so convenient.

Liked: Location, ambience, staff. Really cool decor.
Disliked: A little noisy on a Saturday night (it was spring break, a Padres game and March Madness LOL). if you get a room facing street. Ask to face the Courtyard. Everything else was great.
