Liked: It was a good location and felt safe.
Disliked: We found a sock on the floor and an opened bar of soap in the shower which led us to believe the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. Our bathroom sink got clogged and was full of water. We alerted the front desk early in the morning and when we returned late that night, the sink hadn’t been fixed and they were actually rude about it when we brought it back to their attention and blamed it on maintenance.

Great hotel! Staff was nice!...
Liked: The room was big and roomy. Very comfortable. The staff was really nice. We have stayed at many hotels in San Marcos and this hotel was our favorite. The breakfast was good and satisfying. We will definitely stay here again.
Disliked: There was nothing wrong with our experience at this hotel.

Do Not Stay at This...
Disliked: Where to start. The hotel has serious problems with hot water - pretty much anytime of day, but in the morning you'll be taking cold showers. The sink didn't drain. Only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel was in the room when we arrived - I had to go ask for more. No hair dryer in the room - had to ask for that and was told they may not have one. The TV worked, but the color was 100% purple and barely viewable. Had to ask for that to be replaced. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. At about 5:00 on a Thursday, I was told by the two young girls working the front desk that there was "no management nor maintenance in the hotel past 4:00 on any day and they could do nothing about the sink, the TV, or the hot water. I asked them to call the Manager and give them my number and to have them call me. Did the call ever come? Ofcourse not. So I paid $249/night for this kind of experience? Not again! Oh, and the girls rarely ever work the front desk/lobby area...you'll have to wait on them to get off of their phones or actually yell outloud for some help to come to the front. I also noticed several other people complaining at the front desk the few other times I walked by. I'll be contacting Hilton about this experience.
