Great Pittsburgh home base

Liked: Staying in the strip district is pretty great if you're visiting Pittsburgh - you're near some pretty great food and coffee. Staying in a suite in the strip district is even better because you have the little kitchenette, meaning you can enjoy stuff from the local specialty markets (Penn Mac, etc) and store it easily without worrying about it going bad. The hotel is clean, convenient, and comfy and the staff are GREAT. Extremely helpful and accommodating when I had an issue with my booking, and super friendly throughout. Facilities are great, the gym is large and well-stocked, and the lobby is an excellent spot to relax. I enjoyed using the pool, however I will say that the pool water kind of reeks. Definitely more there for kids or people who don't mind being stinky.

Great, except blip with parking.

Liked: The only thing I didn’t like was the difficulty in figuring out how to get to the front of the hotel from the parking garage, and when I found it I had to go up two flights of stairs. Other than that a 5 star stay!

Liked: Booking was cancelled prior to our arrival and We did not stay with you. We spoke with manager of hotel and were told a full credit would be issued. Please look into this

Disliked: Our entire reservation was entirely screwed up to the point where they gave our exact room away 5 to 10 minutes after we checked in and strangers walked right into the room that we were already in. Thank God we weren’t naked because this would be a lawsuit otherwise. They didn’t comp us a night of stay or even our entire trip but rather only $75 off for the major screwup. The staff was completely disorganized. They didn’t know what to do or what to tell us. Some of the staff had an attitude. Just a bad experience.
