Absolutely brilliant; loved it. And...
Liked: Beautifully positioned. Loved the studio room : the size, the kitchen, the view
Disliked: A tiny gripe: the bed was made with odd linen: the sheet didn’t fit properly and the duvet seemed more like a mattress protector. Still all worked fine. The breakfast was a bunfight (I only went once in the end)

Liked: My wife and I stayed in room 1615, and unfortunately, our experience was seriously disrupted due to gross negligence by your security staff.Around 2:00–2:30 AM one night, a loud and aggressive group checked into a nearby room and blasted music at extreme volume. I called the front desk, and while a security guard eventually responded, he made the situation worse by telling the group exactly which room had complained.After that, we were harassed non-stop until 4:00 AM — people banged violently on our door with hands and feet every 15 minutes, attempting to intimidate or provoke us. We feared for our safety.Security was completely ineffective — they walked around doing nothing, failed to control the situation, and offered no protection. Their conduct was unacceptable and unprofessional.Additionally, it was concerning that the guard and the aggressors appeared to be of the same Middle Eastern background, raising questions about bias or lack of impartiality.

Liked: The breakfast area is small for the number of guests, it gets very crowded, and it is often difficult to find a table. There is also a lack of healthier breakfast options such as fruit and cheese.
Disliked: My stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton - Chicago Downtown South Loop, from March 23 to 31, 2025, was marked by a highly frustrating experience that seriously impacted my travel plans.I booked the stay through Booking.com, with a total amount clearly stated as USD 1,406.63 (USD 1,198.15 + USD 208.48 in taxes). However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was unexpectedly charged USD 2,171.92 (USD 1,850.00 + USD 321.92 in taxes), which is USD 765.29 more than the confirmed reservation amount. This was done with no prior notice or clear explanation from the hotel.Moreover, the amount actually charged to my credit card was even higher: USD 2,425.43. I was told the difference of USD 253.51 was a damage deposit, yet my booking confirmation clearly states a deposit of only USD 75.00 – another failure to honor the agreed terms.This unexpected overcharge significantly impacted my budget and forced me to cancel several planned activities during my trip. I contacted Booking.com immediately on the day of check-in, but as of now, I have not received a satisfactory response or resolution.I expected much more transparency and professionalism from a Hilton-branded hotel. Unfortunately, this situation negatively affected my entire stay in Chicago.

Liked: The room was beautiful and just big enough. The bed was somewhat comfortable, certainly nothing luxury. The heater in our room was extremely loud and jolted when it kicked on and off, to the point that it woke me up each night. The shower also dripped often which I normally wouldn't even notice but because they've installed metal bars over the shower drains, it clings every time it drips. The 8th floor was supposed to have outdoor common areas to go outside and enjoy the weather and get fresh air, but the doors were locked constantly. I asked the front desk about it the first night of our stay and they said they were supposed to be open each day and it must have been a mistake that they were left locked. I heard him talking with housekeeping about it but nothing was done and there was no access to the outside common areas, which was super disappointing as this was a draw to this hotel vs others. The hot tub was also filthy. No one was skimming or cleaning it throughout the day and literal dirt and scum was stuck on the sides by Sunday morning. The water was so murky and dirty in both the hot tub and the pool. All of that aside, the room was adequate and the staff was very nice, but the rest was just disappointing.
