Inconvenient
Liked: Check in was supposed to be at 3:00. We arrived several hours later and were told our room wasn't ready due to being short staffed. Left and we were called a little while later saying our room was ready. Went back and got our room keys, then went to our room. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door. It was the front desk person telling us that the people who reserved this room were there and that we would have to move to another room. So we packed our stuff and went to the front desk. We were given keys to another room. While I understand that sometimes places will be short handed, we were not offered any compensation for all of the trouble. Only something off of the sweet table. I do believe that the front desk clerk was overwhelmed, she did apologize but that did not make up for the fiasco. The back door near our room did not lock so security was in jeopardy. The front trashcan was overflowing, which did not help with the curb appeal. This hotel was recommended to us and the party who recommended it was embarrassed that they did. When a business fails to meet expectations they should offer some kind of compensation.
Disliked: Not having the room ready for hours later. Well passed the noted 3:00 check in time.Not being compensated for the inconvenience.

Liked: Location
Disliked: VOC levels in new carpeting and paint were choke provoking. Toilet tank cover was cracked, toilet seat was old and scarred, freezer racks were rusted, room door was 1/2" from floor that you could hear conversations in the hallway. Expected more.

Excellent hotel in a nice...
Liked: Clean rooms, large tv in sitting area. Large refrigerator. Very friendly staff. Nice morning breakfast including, eggs, bacon, potatoes, grits, waffles and assorted cold items. There are shops a restaurants in close walking distance. Dog friendly
Disliked: Really cannot think of anything other than more vending options

Disliked: the silverware and utensils were disgusting. Full of mold. When I mentioned this to the front desk. I was told they would supply new ones. They never did .

Good location for a short...
Liked: The new updated decor is a welcome change. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms have good lighting. The hotel is next to a shopping area with two great restaurants, Crave and The Opal. We have eaten at both and they are great.
Disliked: Renovation is in progress, so you had to maneuver past workers on the way to the elevator every time you came or left the building. The bathroom sink and mirror were not as clean as expected, and there was no trashcan other than the one under the kitchenette sink, which I did report.
