Comfortable hotel with attentive staff.

Liked: Cosy, welcoming, relaxing, attentive staff.
Disliked: Food was good but very expensive - burger and fries £22. 125 ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc £17.50. Menu had variety but was too trendy and lacked wholesome staple dishes.

Disappointing

Liked: location, the grounds, appliances and Olio restaurant.
Disliked: No hot water and heating when we arrived. Lack of transparency from the staff and manager that they had a gas leak when we arrived that affected all rooms. The staff managed us very poorly to start with and after our persistence to speak to Manager, we managed to get a refund for the stay and leave a hotel as they could not provide us with hot water and heating on the day we arrived.

Stunning hotel with beautiful grounds...

Liked: Stunning property and beautiful grounds to walk around. Lovely staff and we were given a free room upgrade. The improvements to the pool area was a real treat. Very clean too
Disliked: There could be slightly more choice at breakfast, maybe a continental with granola on and some fruit as well as the breakfast menu

Liked: Spa was nice, but it was disappointing that kids were not allowed to use most of it, especially when the weather was cold. Service of staff was very pleasant and decor of the hotel was very nice.
Disliked: The breakfast service was very slow. We waited over 30 minutes for a coffee/tea, and when it arrived, it was not pleasant. We also had a special dinner booked in a dome, and once again, there were large delays between courses. This was particularly difficult as we had young kids who were very hungry; however, when the food did arrive, it was amazing.

Exceptional

Liked: Amazing quality of food and large portions in the restaurant. Beautiful grounds and the best Spa I've ever visited.
