It was okay, but not...

Liked: It could have been a charming older home,
Disliked: The exterior is very run down. The appearance is poor because of rotting decks and peeling paint

We love old historical home...

Liked: Breakfast was delicious. The location was great for exploring the city.
Disliked: Not a problem for us, but I can see some folks would have a problem with the stairs and hauling luggage up and down.

Superb

Liked: The breakfast was very good and offered a healthy breakfast
Disliked: Disappointed with the lack of a bar by the tub. It was difficult to get our old legs over the high clawfoot tub without the aid of a bar or something to hold on to.

Lovely inn in a quiet...

Liked: This was actually our second stay at Homeport in just over a week so, obviously, we were happy to come back. The rooms are very nicely decorated and quite large. The view of the harbor is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious. Access from the highway was very convenient but no highway noise.
Disliked: Navigating the spiral staircase with luggage is a bit of a challenge but the rooms are worth it. The rooms are generally very quiet although apparently a train track is pretty close by (down the hill near the water) and it made a fair amount of noise in the middle of the night. We did not experience that on our previous visit.

Lovely facility that was easily...

Liked: We really appreciated the host staying open late for us as we got waylaid getting to town. The room was perfect as I went straight to bed and my wife watched TV for a while in a separate room. The size of the room was fantastic. The view of the harbor was very nice. Breakfast was great. The area was very quiet. Easy access to the highway was very convenient.
Disliked: Navigating the spiral staircase with luggage to get to our rooms was a little challenging but the room and view were worth it. We kind of wish the facility was within walking distance of downtown although we didn't get downtown on this visit anyway.
