Passable

Liked: The staff were helpful and pleasant. There is plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. What let the room down was the cleanliness (I accept it's an older style hotel) but even so. The bed was so hard that neither of us could get comfortable during the night, the pillows also. We stayed in room 14.

Horrible experience. Not recommended.

Liked: The receptionist was polite.
Disliked: There was no drinking water available. We were told to grab some from across the street. We took the risk to go out at 11pm but no shop was open. They could at least put 500ml water bottles or could sell them to us. The location is very noisy as it is on the main road. The room was in attic/loft and you had to be careful not to bang your head against the ceiling. The bathroom sink was so small that you could hardly wash your fingers! No soap, no shampoo nothing provided in the bathroom. Not recommended at all.

Adequate and pleasant stay

Liked: Overall, we had a nice stay at Holtwhites Hotel, and we found;Staff friendly and accommodating to needs. Location was perfect for visiting family. Lots of restaurants nearby. And free parking onsite.
Disliked: Unfortunately, we didnt like;The noisy people coming and going. We found the beds hard and uncomfortable. There were no onsite bar or breakfast options, but we knew this going in. And the car park was filled with vans reducing space on such a small car park. This is by no means a complaint, just small annoyances as we would stay here again

Liked: Off road parking bay for each room so if I went out in the car I know I can park when I get back
Disliked: Take I had to go back home after a lovely stay
