Could have been better

Liked: Great location, spacious room, long walk from the lift though.
Disliked: The cleaning crew left the window in my room wide open! So after walking around in Berlin all day on the coldest day of our stay (approx. 4-5 degrees), I was looking forward to a cosy room, only to be met by, what could only be described as an icebox. Instructions for the heating system are inadequate, so I didn't get the room warm until 2am. At least I had two quilts to get reasonably warm while in bed, only to shiver again, when I had to use the bathroom. I did mention it at reception and hung the "Do not clean my room" sign on my door the next day, which was completely ignored and the window was open again, when I came back from more sightseeing the following day!! At that point, I must admit, I lost it a bit and complained as well as rigorously forbidding the cleaning crew to enter my room again.Another unrelated point I didn't like was that there was no bathmat available. Taking a shower was accompanied by the constant fear of slipping and falling, since the bath was very slippery.

Good price for a great...

Liked: The location is excellent, 5 mins from the train station for easy commute into the sights & on a great shopping street. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice at the buffet. Also really nice Italian restaurant attached to the hotel.
Disliked: The hotel room we were in could do with updating very old fashioned furnishings! Some staff members lacked good customer service when we spoke to them!

Disliked: I asked for 2 beds and I got a room with two beds joined together. The room was too small to septate them. When I book a and pay extra for a room with 2 beds it’s usually 2 queen beds not 2 singles joined together

Liked: Amazing place, to see all the stars of my time gone by. Absolutely wonderful, to walk around the whole Hotel interior with so much to see and appreciate
Disliked: Klaus Kinskis picture looking at me. Would have preferred a nicer guy 😄
