This Hotel is awful, don't...
Liked: The pictures on line look nothing like the hotel, in the rooms or anywhere else. False advertising! I did not like anything about this hotel. The worst experience i have ever, ever, ever had at a hotel.Let me repeat, worst ever! Dirty, bad location, Staff who really do not care about any of your problems or concerns, , NO, NO, I mean no amenities, no in room coffee machine or one shot, Not a wine glass to be found. They scrounged up two paper cups. So down market you can not believe. . No in room microwave. They have a dirty microwave downstairs by the ice machine-nice. In the morning you have to go next door to get a cup of coffee for $5 a cup. the whole hotel smells bad, cleaner covering up bad smells. Dirty upholstered chair. Nicked up furniture, dirty grout in the bathroom, bleached out carpet, windows only open partially, AC works occasionally, screen hanging down, Cleaning staff did not clean the bathrooms day to day, towel replacement, inconsistent. Basically-DON'T stay here, run the other way.

I asked to pay for the first night and be refunded the next two of my three. The owner would not respond to me or booking.com. By the way, Booking.com was not supportive and did not resolve my issuesBasically-DON'T stay here, run the other way.

Good
Liked: I liked the view of the Hollywood sign, pictures in the hallways and the old look of the place. The cafe on next door is great, and street parking was fairly easy to find.
Disliked: The UBS ports on the lamp were broken. I know it's an old place, but the smell was not pleasant.

Good
Liked: The rooms are dated but comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood is a little sketchy. Parking is convenient and secure. The air con unit didn’t work and the windows wouldn’t stay open without being propped. The WiFi is poor. Our room which was situated at the front of hotel was loud due to the busy road and junction. For the price it was fine.

I would not recommend staying...
Liked: The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The rooms are old and very dated. Desperately needs to be renovated, especially for the price. The lighting in the bathroom is totally inadequate. You can tell the owners of the property do not want to spend the money to move this place into the 21st century. No phone in the room means the staff is not well trained to interact with guests that would need to call the front desk. Betty was the only one with personality and professionalism. Everyone else could care less about being pleasant and engaging. It’s definitely a tourist hotel. Since I’m from LA, I could tell. This place is not that close to Hollywood and there is no where to walk around and it doesn’t feel safe! The best place for dining and shopping is the 5 minute drive to Larchmont Village.
