We came to Winnipeg to see my cousin race at Assiniboia Downs. We loved the motel and services that were offered and also the closeness to the race track. Will come back.

No locks on washrooms!

Disliked: Washrooms has no locks! zero privacy especially if you have toddlers. First time seeing a hotel like this, and I've been to many.

Frustratingly disappointing - where”policy “

Liked: Food was good. King room was spacious.
Disliked: Morning food service a bit slow. Very dissatisfied that only registered guests were allowed to use the pool as we had chosen this hotel so that we could invite our small grandchildren for a short swim. We were not told of this rule prior to arrival and no provision (eg purchase of short duration swim bracelets or other alternative) was offered to accommodate our needs. We were simply told this was “policy “ and could not be altered. We will not consider this property for future Winnipeg hotel needs.

Good deal for the price

Liked: It was very clean and the staff was super nice. I also liked that the room has a large fridge and microwave. We didn’t use the pool area but looks like a great area for kids.
Disliked: The power was shut off for repairs one of the days we were there so we weren’t able to get ready until it came back on. The food at the restaurant wasn’t great for the price. It’s the same food that you would get at other hotels that provide complementary breakfast.
