Served it's purpose but might...

Liked: The room was fine, the breakfast was nice and check in was a breeze
Disliked: It was clear that this place used to be a used Holiday Inn. The hallways to the rooms were really banged up as was the carpet. However the rooms had been redone so that was nice. We were only staying for less than 24 hours as we flew from Brisbane, slept and then had breakfast and headed to the airport for our Intl flight. Only my hubs took a SHOWER and he said it was either scalding or freezing water, no in between. Thank goodness we weren't staying any longer. The gal checking us in was efficient but far from friendly, she wasn't rude, just not welcoming at all.

Liked: room spacious and clean, new facilities as hotel recently refurbished, Breakfast great, airport shuttle transfers easily accessible, staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant meals good value and delightful.

Time for a more modern...

Liked: Room was good but seemed dated. I think it was the decor. It didn't feel fresh and clean even though it was.It certainly had everything we needed, bathrobes etc.Shower and toiletries were good.It needed a few simple touches to spruce it up. eg it had old brown powerpoints on wall and the main lighting in the room was insufficient. It might seem picky but it all added to my overall impression of the room. It was a 'oh ok' rather than a 'oh wow this is nice'.Room service was a little slow but the food was great, plenty of it and well presented.Staff were pleasant and efficient.
