Clean room; friendly service. This is a comfortable hotel with everything you need.
Disliked: Parking was too expensive.

Very Nice
Liked: Down the street from Canada Life Centre. It's Winnipeg, not NYC. Short walk to nice restaurants and a short walk to cheap eats. Staff was great. Free breakfast was not an Express buffet but from the restaurant menu. Very happy with my stay.

It was okay. Not worth...
Liked: It was very quiet on the top floors which was nice. Felt secure with the key-in to enter front doors. Personally never felt unsafe when walking to and from, but I am from a bigger city than Winnipeg so that is normal for me. Small town folk might feel uncomfortable in this area.
Disliked: The hotel is in dire need of updates. Carpet is old and dirty looking, bathtub caulking needs redone, toilet plumbing is weak, shower head seal was broken so water pressure was abysmal, heating/cooling is ancient, pool/hot tub not well cleaned and needs a special key for access.

Disappointing
Liked: Bed was comfy, room size wasn't up to par for the price.
Disliked: The Cafe had shitty service, drinks and food. Very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.

Not too bad, not too...
Liked: Overall, the hotel is fairly clean, especially considering its age. The elevators are quite slow.My room was comfortable, with a good bed, a microwave, fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. However, there were some minor issues, including small, suspicious stains and a bit of mold above the air conditioning unit. Aside from that, the room was generally clean.I had a package delivered a couple of days before my arrival, and the handoff went smoothly. The neighborhood around the hotel is rough, with homeless individuals often lingering outside. However, the hotel does have a security guard in the lobby most of the time, and they keep the door locked, requiring guests to be buzzed in or use a key card.My biggest complaint was that I received phone calls to my room at different times each night, which disrupted my sleep. While I could have disconnected the phone, I didn’t in case of an emergency.I think I would stay here again but it will be a long time before I go back to Winnipeg.
