Wasted time and money!! Miserable!!
Liked: We have been coming to this location for years. We love the location and the restaurant inside the hotel. However this will be our last time visiting a Holiday Inn.
Disliked: Pet policy!! This facility says pet friendly. It is not pet friendly. It’s pet tolerant. For 40.00 per day per pet you are to take your pet everywhere you go. They are to remain crated while they are in the room even if you are in there with them. They are not to be outside the crate. Even in a crate they are not to be left alone. In the spring or summer this would be optimal. In the winter it is NOT optimal. I messaged the facility to let them know we would be bringing a pet and requested the policy which I never got. I called the facility and was informed pets are welcome. I was not informed of the absurd policy until we had driven from Texas with our pets. We spent 4 days basically eating every meal in our room because it was too cold to sit at an outdoor sitting area. Our dogs weigh 4lbs. They can’t be in the cold. We could have stayed home and saved over 1,000 in hotel fees including 240.00 for our two dogs for 4 days. I understand everyone has to pay the price for the irresponsible pet owners. However if we were coming there to enjoy the train or to go skiing we would have had to cancel. Holiday Inn has gone overboard with their pet rules. We have traveled with our pets for 10 years. They are well behaved and we are very responsible. My husband and I are both in the medical field and travel for work. In the past we have asked to stay at a Holiday Inn because we felt welcome with our dogs. In the past year that has not been the case. This trip with the wasted money was the last straw. I’m sure this will fall on deaf ears however it still needs to be said. Holiday Inn needs to make a NO pet policy instead of having a million expectations while charging additional fees to sit in the room and watch your pets. I would understand the 40.00 per pet per day if we were allowed to crate them and leave for a few hours however that didn’t happen. Holidays Inn is pet tolerant. NOT pet friendly!!!Also, we checked out at 6am on the morning of check-out.

Perfect for a quick one...
Liked: Location was good—close to the train station for Polar Express. You might think about running a shuttle over since parking can be limited and it is a pretty far walk and slightly dangerous at night.
Disliked: Breakfast was $10 so we opted out. Also put us in rooms with double beds when we requested king or queen.
