Good but can be better

Liked: The breakfast was good, the staff nice, and they were very accommodating in providing a fridge in the room when I said I needed one to store baby food and breast milk, heating worked fine
Disliked: They’ve put the family rooms at the back end of the hotel and to get to the rooms you need to go up and down a flight of stairs. They’ve put a demographic who would be lugging around more suitcases and heavy prams to a place more difficult to get to. We had to carry our pram up and down every time we left the room. When we asked for a different room we got told it was where the family rooms are and there was nothing we could do. Fair enough that the bigger, family rooms are there but at least make it more accessible. Have a ramp or something. Steam room and jacuzzi not working and nowhere in the hotel info when booking was this made known

Was exactly what we needed...

Liked: Great value for money for what we paid, good choice for breakfast, clean pleasant room. Ideal location for what we wanted, we even looked to book for another night after the event we were attending however the price had increased somewhat so decided not to.
Disliked: Nothing really to dislike, we only stayed one night, arrived late, left early so didn't really have time to notice anything to dislike.

Good value for money and...

Liked: Breakfast very good selection and staff very polite.
Disliked: There was a menthos cigarette packet floating at the bottom of my husbands pint of guiness. When we raised the issue the waitress said 'oh sorry the guys at the bar do weird stuff' thats not weird, thats disgusting? Casts a bit of doubt over the hygiene of all food and drink.No proper coffee available all weekend as machine had cleaning in progress on it the entire time.

Won't rush to come back!!

Disliked: I booked 2 rooms as we had a family part nearby.We stood at reception for 5 minutes with nobody to be seen.Then a young lady came approached to check us in, no apology for the delay.She checked us in and with no info about breakfast time or check and directed us to the 2nd floor. Or room cards were for the 1st floor!!.No smile or personality.

Pleasant

Liked: Good location to drive to. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable.
Disliked: They had a large event on so the staff in the restaurant and bar were mainly trainees. Service was slow and was a bit haphazard. Prices in the restaurant and bar were expensive but the food wasn't that good.

Disliked: Reception behaviour was not congenial . Room was not allotted as per my requirements written in the booking agreement . Immediate problem inside the room Was not properly addressed.
