Looking stay
Liked: A good place to stay ,room was excellent,breakfast was excellent,hotel was tidy ,staff were friendly
Disliked: Restaurant staff let down the restaurant ordered a meal after finishing we were left for a while had to go to ask for bill and was not told about the speboth was not open as the had a new one fitted

Did the job for what...
Liked: We liked the swimming pool & the size of the room. We liked the room getting a refresh clean every day with new towels.
Disliked: The breakfast was mostly good although the coffee was horrible & they didn’t have any brown or seeded bread on any of our 3 days. The room was a bit tired & shabby in places.

Worst hotel experience ever
Liked: Room was clean & comfortable if a little small
Disliked: Our five friends we're stuck in a lift for about an hour. One if them in their 80's, two of them with heart conditions.The phone & alarm in the lift didn't appear to work & the lift was stuck between floors. Fortunately they were able to raise the alarm by ringing my mobile. I then went to reception to report the issue. I eventually managed to speak to the manager who initially was very hostile & unhelpful. He was permanently in his office on the phone & refused to speak to me. Eventually he told me the lift engineers had been contacted but that they would be about an hour. I said I don't think he appreciated the gravity of the situation. By now it was extremely hot & airless in the lift with 5 people in a lift designed to hold 8. I told the manager he should call the fire brigade & if he didn't, I would. Eventually he did & they arrived in about 10 mins. They managed to free my friends. The hotel then agreed to pay for our drinks & dinner. The manager offered no apology until prompted to do so. In my opinion he needs to go on a retraining course in customer relations immediately or choose another profession. After all this the dinner took an hour & a half before we were served anything. We were told they only had one Chef on duty that night. Finally I can't believe the carpark is now £5 extra. As things stand I will never use Holiday Inn hotels again.

Liked: Great location Decent bar
Disliked: Old dated rooms, toilets too small.The room service order with QR code doesn’t work. What is on the menu was not available after waiting for it 30m. End up to take one hour to deliver 2 bags of chips.Staff in the breakfast, rude because we were not in their files. Fortunately other employee came to solve the problems before it turned to an actual silly situation where the client wanted to buy a breakfast and the staff was doing everything for make it as difficult as possible.
