Not as good as a...

Liked: Location is excellent for visiting family. The breakfast is really good, and team making the food are super-friendly and helpful. Batman was friendly. Good shower.
Disliked: The desk-staff were both cool at best; borderline po-faced (apart from the night time woman who was very helpful with extra teabags!). The room was freezing when we arrived, and the aircon control needed resetting by the desk staff. The aircon unit dripped and made the carpet damp. The carpet and soft furnishings had quite a number of historic stains. The bed was much harder than the one we had in the same hotel over Christmas - my wife was particularly uncomfortable.
