good location but not so...
Liked: the location of this hotel falls on Zone 2 if you plan on using Tube, DLR and Whitechapel station are near but the way to the station can get sketchy in the morning and after dark. You can also find Elizabeth line at Whitechapel station which will take you to LHR airport.
Disliked: Check in was not smooth. our Group size was 7( 5 adults and 2 kids ) we had booked 2 rooms and had mentioned my sister's name on one. They reached early but they did not provide her keys as they claimed it was booked under my name. They had to wait in the lobby till we arrived. when i inquired they advised that they had only one room booked under my name and another was under my sister hence i was not allowed to get points as i was also a IHG member. But then the question raised, as to why they couldn't provide keys to my sister for her room, when this reservation was already paid for. No answer were provided. Kitchen staff were really friendly but not the rest (front desk) i did find one of the night shift manager rude. There are hotels nearby but they prefer that we use their restaurant, but if we do order food and then ask for the air freshener they decline and advise that we have to bring our own. This hotel has 24 hours Wifi so after every 24 hrs you need to reset your device, which can be irritating after long day or if you are in middle of browsing or watching movie.

Very bad and horrible experience
Liked: Food was not good . The location is horrible . Please be aware of the surroundings before booking room there . Also Whitechapel is worst location in London and one should think twice before opting that location . I didn’t feel quite safe and people around is not good .
Disliked: I liked nothing . The room was suffocating with bad ventilation. Also the thermostat was not working well and at night I felt suffocated and hot . I paid 850 euros for 3 days and was not worth it at all .

An excellent base for my...
Liked: The staff were very helpful and attentive. A chap needs coffee to function in the mornings and the staff at the breakfast buffet were quick to find me a place, sit me down and, as if by magic, coffee appeared at my elbow moments later. In particular I am immensely grateful to Sajia and Nusrat on reception yesterday morning (20/10/24), like a dope I forgot to pack my phone charger and they very kindly found a charger (fairly sure it was Nusrat's) and pumped electrons into my mobile. This averted a potential crisis as my train ticket home etc. were stored on the dying phone.
Disliked: The lifts at the ground floor level required presentation of room passes to access them. This is a sensible security measure but unfortunately the sensor appeared to have trouble recognising passes. I dare say it's a fixable problem but I noticed several guests having the same difficulty (so for once not just my maladroitness).
