Travelers beware

Liked: Beds were comfortable
Disliked: Upon arrival, we experienced an unusually long delay during check-in without any explanation from the front desk staff. Once we finally received our keys, we were shocked to discover that we had been placed in a two-queen suite rather than the Jacuzzi suite we had booked Additionally, the tub in the room still had water in it from the previous guests, which was highly unsanitary.When we contacted the front desk to address the issue, we were informed that our reserved room had been given to another guest and that the suite we were placed in was the only one available with a king bed, which was inaccurate, as the room had two queen beds. Despite the disappointment and disruption to our plans, we reluctantly agreed to stay and requested a discount for the inconvenience.Further compounding the issue, we were informed that we could order room service from Tony Roma's, only to learn that an additional 18% fee would be applied. We opted to pick up the meal ourselves, only to be told that the Valentine’s Day half-price wine special was for dine-in customers only. Our anticipated romantic dinner was instead reduced to eating from paper boxes without plates, which was more akin to dining at a bus stop than in a hotel suite.The most troubling aspect, however, was that both my partner and I developed food poisoning after consuming our meal, resulting in a night spent violently ill. This is unacceptable, and I will be filing a report with Alberta Health regarding the matter.I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and care we received during our stay.

Liked: Clean facilities. Courteous staff. Comfortable room.
Disliked: The one thing I would knock was actually the description on the reservation. It showed there was breakfast, but in actuality, there was not. I was traveling alone, so that was manageable. If I were traveling with children, that would be a problem.

Disliked: The change rooms had a smell to them.

Disliked: Hotel is a bit dated but super clean.
