Room clean and functional. Everything worked. Bed not that comfortable. Mattress felt 'well used'.

Liked: Very friendly receptionist who sorted it all out.

Liked: Seemed clean.
Disliked: The smell , hotel corridors smells of dirty washing, I heard another person complaining about it. The breakfast all dried up. The silly suggestion that I was being offered a treat by having biscuits in my room. The fact that house keeping was quite limited, beds not made. I think families were being housed in the hotel, which is not a problem for me but meant their pets were there too. I have dogs but it could bother some people. Having to walk through smokers who stop outside the front door. The fact that it’s just a road side lodge. The price , this hotelIs expensive but it’s really quite poor.

Disliked: I'd booked for two adults, but was left a cot and the sofa bed made up; they removed the cot straight away once asked. The bathroom wasn't overly clean, and had blue toothpaste marks on the tiles, and the soap dispenser leaked.

Overall a good and comfortable...

Liked: Overall good stay, very helpful and accomodative staff, clean room and comfy beds, good breakfast, plenty of parking space. The reception manager (lady) was very kind and offered us tp pack some non-perishable food and drinks (sandwich, yoghurt, juice etc.) as we had to leave the night before our check-out day and our breakfast was included in the room rate - very considerate and kind - something which is scarce in the British hospitality sector especially for mid-budget hotels, so the gesture was very much appreciated by us.
Disliked: Housekeeping (daily room cleaning) could be improved in response time and promptness. E.g. restocking of tea/coffee, milk and replacing used cups with fresh cups could be done with more care and consideration.
