Very pleasant experience - would...

Liked: Check-in was great: friendly staff made us feel looked after. Room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower
Disliked: Didn't notice two different types of pillows (saw the sign but didn't get that each type was in different stacks on the bed), so had a bad night sleep until I stole partners pillow then could actually sleep

Liked: Good service. Very clean. Friendly staff.At breakfast proper jam/marmalade was provided. The butter wasn’t solid so able to spread. Excellent toast.Great shower in the room.
Disliked: No fridge or water in the room. Limited choice of tea/coffee in the room.A number of things were not available at breakfast as per the menu. No pancakes, pain au raisin. Crispy potatoes were hash browns .

Liked: Stayed between Xmas and new year. Staff were great. Especially lady on reception.Dog friendly … treats and water in reception. Space to walk doggie at rear.Nice spacious room. Clean and comfortable
Disliked: Cooked Breakfast lacking. Items missing. No yoghurt one day. No fruit the next. Eggs badly cooked. Tomatoes yuk. Stewed mushrooms from a tin. Pastries and coffee were good though. Breakfast could definitely do with upgrading. Which is a shame because it was one of the selling points in other reviews on Booking.comBuilding a bit tired.Quilt far too heavy and hot and struggled to sleep both nights.

Liked: The location was great.
Disliked: It was old, there wasn’t heating in the room I stayed we were given a heater that wasn’t in good condition. My pregnant wife couldn’t sleep all night. It was very uncomfortable and unfair.

Comfortable rooms and functional

Liked: It was ideal for where I needed to be although I went to the incorrect holiday inn first which by all accounts happens on a daily basis. Hotel room a great size, lovely new shower and nice products, plenty of tea and coffee in the room and a outstandingly clean kettle too
Disliked: The food was not good, I had a club sandwich and it was not nice at all and had missing ingredients . Chicken was minimal and has skin on which is not nice, it was thigh not breast, one slice on tomato and no egg and two fatty bits on bacon for £15.50.
