Not what I expected for...
Liked: The location is fantastic on our way home from the beach. The breakfast is fantastic! Bed and pillows are great!
Disliked: 1. Breakfast wasn't included in the stay. Breakfast is a huge perk to me. Most places I have ever stayed it is included and when we stayed last year it was included. I prefer staying in Holiday Inn Express and I unfortunately assumed it was included. 2. There was hair in the bath tub when we walked in our room.3. We had to take the lid off the back of the toilet in order to jiggle the lever so the toilet would fill and then flush. We had to do this every time we used the bathroom. We were offered another room. I thought I had fixed the toilet and we had unpacked so we chose to stay. 4 there was no counter space in the bathroom to set anything. The vanity was small. There was plenty of room for a larger counter . I have never seen a small vanity and sink like this in a hotel where there could clearly have been a large one out. 5. There was blue painters tape, that had very clearly been there awhile, holding up the molding around the bottom of the vanity. I have a picture. . We had stayed at the Microtel on the other side of the parking lot on the way down to the beach and even though Holiday in Express was more expensive we decided that sometimes you get what you pay for. So we chose to spend a bit more and have a nicer place. We were clearly disappointed.

TERRIBLE

Disliked: Where do I start. When I arrived after check in time, my reservation wasn't ready. I understand it was busy. After waiting outside for an hour, I went back in. I was told my reserved room was ready. It was, but unfortunately the room was given to a walk-in customer. SERIOUSLY? Then I was told I could downgrade to a lesser room, that was ready, for the same price. REALLY? Indoor pool was closed, WHY? When I finally got a room there were no towels, the bathroom cabinet door was laying on the floor, and the TV reception was so poor I could not even watch football. I feel like the hotel felt like they were the victim, not me. Tough times mean you might need to step it up. You failed at every aspect. I will never be back. No apology. A breakfast voucher would have been nice, but from what I heard that was awful as well!!!! Not good !!!!!!!!!!!

Relaxing for a hotel
Liked: Very clean and everything was up to date. The 3 lady’s at the front desk were very friendly and made check in a breeze. Food was excellent as well. dinner and breakfast!
