Great location as a base...

Liked: It's a great location for exploring the Shenandoah Valley with its wineries and Civil War museums. Woodstock itself is historic and cute. The hotel has a self-service laundry for guests. Although we didn't use it, we would have if we'd known in advance. The breakfast was also better than most.
Disliked: We stayed 4 nights and were a bit surprised at check-in to learn that maid service was not standard for extended stays. We could have requested it, but we decided it didn't matter that much.
