Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Liked: The breakfast had so many options available for everyone. It was hot and stocked and the staff were constantly walking around checking things.
Disliked: The pool towels weren't even regular sized towels. It was like an extended hand towel. They don't cover your whole body. I didn't expect beach towels, but my daughter had to wrap 2 around her just to cover herself after the pool, and she's 11 she's not a large child.

A decent place to stay...

Liked: Great location! The Lobby, breakfast area, and outdoor pool and outdoor seating area was very nice! Morning breakfast was very good!
Disliked: Pet hair on my bed sheets, bathroom floor and sink felt sticky and the shower curtain had long black hair on it. 2 of our nights at 3am I was woken up to a loud bang that I think was the garbage company emptying the outside trash containers. Elevator did not work for 2 days.

Stayed due to a mandatory...

Liked: Clean rooms, great breakfast and amenities, reasonably priced.
Disliked: Guests in a room across the hall constantly drunk and arguing and slamming doors. Some teenage kids were running through the halls all hours of the night. And banging on doors and windows.

Disliked: Stayed here many times. The staff was always great. It’s a Holiday Inn Express but the staff held it at a higher standard so I kept coming back. But…. The man that is currently doing check ins is definitely not prepared for or doesn’t care about simple customer service. He’s either unable to handle hurricane accommodations or he’s just not cut out for customer service. Either way we are back to sticking with the Hilton brand for now. Myself and my daughter were welcomed with open arms literally right next door at a Hampton Inn. With the economy in a downward spiral and a natural disaster ahead us, he should know better or The Holiday should put better staffers in place.
