A comfortable place to spen...

Liked: Very convenient for our visit to see grandchildren. Though Havelock isn't close to New Bern, where we went on a tour and had lunch, it's also not terribly far. Same for the aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Several decent restaurants in the area to offset the overwhelming number of fast food places.
Disliked: There was a problem with their fire alarm system the last day there, and no one seemed to know how to silence the alarm. We booked this hotel because of the pool, but it obviously didn't get cleaned properly every day.

Great place will definitely make...

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even helped my daughter(15) look for me in the rain when my son(11) and I went exploring the trail they had across from the hotel, without letting her know. The pool area and the pool itself was nice and warm.. Plenty of towels for two days they had they pool to themselves.. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast eggs sausage pancakes EXCEPT they had sausage gravy and on Sunday they surprised me with seasoned potatoes!! Warmed pastries toast bagels ect. The room was very comfortable the shower i think was the best part nice hot water great pressure!!! My son took a shower without me having to tell him.. MAJOR!!! Lacation was great, we jst went for a weekend getaway 20 mins from New Bern 25 from the Aquarium...
Disliked: It's was 3 of us but they kept putting two towels so I had to go to the front desk.. Not to bad they were very friendly and had no problem giving them to me..

We were in Havelock to...

Liked: The location was perfect - close to where our granddaughters live. A variety of decent restaurants close by and lots of fast food options for after school sporting events. The breakfast was very good and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming, especially in the breakfast area. Access to the pool for the girls is a must and we spent time there almost daily.
Disliked: The building shows its age; bare spots on the carpet, the fridge in the room froze everything even after turning down the thermostat, the most convenient outside door didn't have a working key card reader. Don't know if it's by design, but there weren't towel bars in the bathroom; we were there for a week and don't get fresh towels daily, so it was a bit of a trick to hang them out.
