A surprising find, nice breakfast,...

Liked: This efficient little hotel was a pleasant surprise! It has a really nice breakfast presentation with numerous choices, including freshly made hot and cold items. The gentleman who staffs the breakfast bar is extremely pleasant, hard-working and thoughtful to guests and deserves a special shout-out. (Be sure to bring some cash for his tip jar!) I was visiting family immediately after the horrible Altadena fire in January 2025 so there were many evacuees who'd settled into the hotel as their temporary home. The hotel also was housing a number of incredible Red Cross volunteers who were there to staff relief centers and assist victims. Because of these unusual circumstances, I was put in an accessible room, which was well-located at the quiet end of the hallway, but probably not laid-out in the same manner as an non-accessible guest room, so I don't feel that I can review the 'standard" guest rooms. For example, the bathroom sink was very low and it had no vanity to place anything on. The desk was built to accommodate a wheelchair. The coffee maker counter and wardrobe also were lower. The room was clean and quiet and the bed very comfortable, so no complaints at all about that! If you desire an accessible room, it couldn't have been nicer. It's just that I'm not used to the layout and missed one or two features. All said, I do recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here agin when in the Glendale/Pasadena/Los Feliz area. By the way, you're pretty car-dependent when staying here as it's not located close to any decent restaurants or visitor attractions.

Liked: Was fleeing from Altadena fire and needed to stay an extra day the day my house burned down but they would not extend our stay. Hotel was very nice but the staff was rude and short. Horrible feeling not having anywhere to go. Shame on you
